The game of Scroungers is designed for people learning to play and for those who wish to improve their game.
It is played all year round (weather permitting), casual dress, however, to protect the greens, flat soled shoes (no ripples) are required (bare feet is fine).
You play Scroungers as an individual, not part of a team.
The three closest bowls score points and there are penalties for bowls landing in the ditch.
The scores are added after 16 ends and a short semi-final and final after that.
The cost is $6.00 per person.
NO DRINKING OR SMOKING ON THE GREENS.
Like social bowls, you can become a regular or just turn up whenever you feel like a game.
New players always welcome. The game is played on a Sunday. You need to be at the Club at 9:00am to register, and the game starts at 9:30am. Hot drinks are also provided.
